Our favorite restaurants
between 5 and 55 minutes drive from the house
Maison Soubeiran
Our latest discovery — tucked away in the old town of Lunel, Maison Soubeiran is a hidden gem set in a beautiful historic townhouse with a magnificent patio. Carole Soubeiran, a cheffe engagée, transforms seasonal regional produce into truly memorable, beautifully balanced dishes — the kind that make you pause after the first bite. If you feel like treating yourselves, it’s a 30-minute drive you truly shouldn’t miss..
L’Artysan
Only a 7-minute drive from the house, this is a real treat for gourmets. Since 2020, Yoan and his team have proudly held a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand — thoroughly deserved. Service is warm and attentive, and the setting is elegant in its simplicity: the former Quissac train station, beautifully reimagined as a restaurant
Melba
Melba is the latest newcomer on the Quissac dining scene, set in a beautifully restored former tiny hardware store dating back to 1900. The atmosphere is now decidedly gastronomic, with Occitan terroir ingredients elevated by Elouan, a young self-taught chef acclaimed by the press. A wonderful discovery.
Le Bossens
Sauve is one of our favourite villages — perfect for wandering its streets and discovering its galleries. We love this restaurant for its simple, genuine spirit and its magical atmosphere after dark. A €32 three-course menu awaits: generous, delicious, and refreshingly unpretentious. Martine, the owner, will welcome you — a charming powerhouse who sets the tone for the whole place.
Le Patio
A delicious address in Sommières, with delicate cooking, a lovely wine selection, and a beautiful dining room — whether you choose to sit inside or out in the patio. A perfect stop if you’re planning to explore the town.
Domaine de l’Oléa
A 30-minute drive takes you to L’Olea, set among an olive grove in a location worthy of a painting. The young chef has trained with the very best, bringing local cuisine a refined twist of elegance. And of course, you’ll get to taste their own olive oil — the perfect finishing touch.
Le Mas du Joep
A 50-minute drive, and you’ll find a moment of utter simplicity by the water. Settle in with a chilled bottle of white wine, gaze out over the Étang de Thau and its fishing boats, and enjoy seafood at its freshest — pulled from the water when you order. Life really can be that simple… and that beautiful.
Plage Bonaventure
Palavas Beach, 55 minutes away. For a drastic change of scenery and a true beach vibe, Bonaventure is our go-to: a beautiful bohemian seaside setting, relaxed and friendly staff, and outstanding Arabic–French fusion cooking. You’ll head back to Brouzet amazed at how quickly you can switch worlds.
